Desktop allows you to receive a popup notification on your computer when a new message arrives in your Intake. Clicking the notification takes you directly to My Intake so you can review and process the message right away.
Desktop is not available in all Kno2 Connected apps. Contact your administrator or reach out to support to confirm whether Desktop is available for your app.
Access Your Message
When a new message arrives, you have two options:
Click the desktop popup notification to go directly to My Intake.
Log in manually and navigate to My Intake.
Messages remain in My Intake until they have been processed by you or another user with processing permissions. Intake permissions are configured by your Administrator in Intake Rules.
Print or Download a Message
Open the message in My Intake.
Add the required patient details:
First Name
Last Name
Date of Birth
Gender
Document Type for each attachment.
Click the blue printer icon to Print with Desktop or the blue download icon to Export with Desktop.
Select your preferred options:
Include Message Body
Include Selected Attachment(s)
Mark as Processed
Click Print or Download to complete.
Tip: For faster processing, consider using the grey Print from Browser or Download from Browser options available in the message preview tools. These options do not require Kno2 Desktop to be running and do not require patient details to be entered.
Troubleshooting
Error: "Desktop Application is not running for the current user"
This error appears when Desktop is not actively running under your Windows session. To resolve it:
Sign into Desktop on your computer.
Refresh the web portal page (press F5 or click your browser's refresh button).
Attempt to print or download the message again.
