To download faxes and messages, please ensure your organization has selected an option that meets your organization's needs and preferences.

One option for users is Kno2 Client. The Kno2 Client provides a secure and efficient method for handling an entire message and all the attachments in a single step, instead of one attachment at a time. Once you have installed the Kno2 Client, you can download messages in My Intake using the following steps:

  1. Click on a message in My Intake.

  2. Ensure there is a First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and Gender included for the patient or add them using Patient Search, if available from your EHR. These details are used to name the file. You may fill out the other fields, if desired.

  3. Assign a Document Type for each attachment.

  4. Select the blue Download icon and select Export with Kno2.

Once Download has been selected, the next steps will differ depending on whether you are using Windows or a Mac. Refer to that specific section below.

Windows – Kno2 Document Wizard

Once the Download button has been selected for a message, proceed with the following:

  1. Depending on your browser, you may be prompted to Open or Save the downloaded Kno2 package. Select Open to proceed.

  2. If your browser automatically downloaded the Kno2 package, click the file to proceed.

  3. The Document Wizard will open. Select Save.

  4. Your Kno2 package will save to the network directory designated by your Kno2 administrator. Select Close.

  5. Repeat the process for Download steps for the messages you would like to process in your Intake.

Mac – Kno2 Document Export

Once the Download button has been selected for a message, proceed with the following:

  1. Click on the downloaded Kno2 bundle at the bottom of your browser or navigate to your default downloads directory and double click the Kno2 bundle.

  2. Enter your Kno2 username and password.

  3. Select Export. Note: A Kno2 bundle may contain one or more attachments and a message body, depending on download selections made. When a bundle is opened, by default, the top file in the list will be highlighted, but all files in the bundle will be exported upon selection of the export button.

  4. You will see a confirmation of the successful export.

  5. Exported files will be saved to the folder designated by your Kno2 administrator.

  6. Select the + New file button to process another downloaded Kno2 bundle or return to My Intake to process and export additional Kno2 messages.
