Kno2 Notifications include active system alerts and message events for your organization. It may also include a failed messages tab if enabled for your organization. System alerts are alerts that are identified at a Kno2 system level. An example of an alert could be a message about a system downtime. Message events are events related to messages sent and received by your Kno2 account. An example of a message event would be if a message had been replied to or forwarded.

Kno2 notifications can be found by selecting the Notifications icon in the upper right-hand corner.

Alerts

Alerts can be found by selecting the Notifications icon in the upper right-hand corner and then selecting the Alerts tab. There are three types of alerts. They will be displayed with a different header color depending on the type of alert. The alerts and their header color are as follows:

  1. Important - Red

  2. Warning - Yellow

  3. Informational - Blue

An important alert will also be indicated by displaying the number of current important alerts on the Notifications icon.

Message Events

Message Events displays the date, time and statuses of messages as they are sent and received by your Kno2 instance. Message events can be found by selecting Notifications icon from the upper right-hand corner and then selecting the Message Events tab. A typical message being sent will show a status of Sent and then Delivered. Other statuses, such as Forwarded, Replied, or Processed will also be displayed as they occur. For instance, if there was a failure sending a Kno2 message as a Direct message or a fax, an event would appear here with a Failed status.

Specific message events can be displayed by selecting the message event type on the left. All is selected by default to show all types of message events for your organization.

Users will only see message events based on permissions assigned by their Kno2 administrator.

Failed Messages

(Optional)

Failed Messages displays a list of any messages that have failed or bounced upon attempted send of that message. If enabled for your organization, Failed Messages can be found by selecting the Notifications icon from the upper right-hand corner and then selecting the Failed Messages tab. The view can be filtered by selecting one of the three filters on the left: All, New, or Acknowledged. These failed messages will also appear under Message Events.

When messages appear on the Failed Messages tab, they may have failed for a variety of reasons. For example, there may have been an error in an address. All failed messages should be reviewed and addressed, and then marked as acknowledged by checking the box to the left of the message subject. If desired, all messages can be acknowledged with a single click of the Dismiss All button. Once acknowledged, the Failed or Bounced status will be replaced with an Acknowledged status.
