Notifications Overview

Kno2 Connected™ Notifications include message events and Failed Messages for your organization

Written by Stacy Lane

This article covers the Notifications panel — the in-app notification center in your Kno2 Connected™ app. These in-app notifications are separate from email notification settings. To manage your email notification preferences, see Email Notification Options.

The Notifications panel gives you visibility into message activity and delivery issues for your organization. It includes two tabs: Message Events, which tracks the lifecycle of messages sent and received in your Kno2 Connected™ app, and Failed Messages, which surfaces any messages that need your attention due to delivery failures.

To open the Notifications panel, select the Notifications icon in the upper right-hand corner of your Kno2 Connected™ app.

Message Events

The Message Events tab displays a timestamped log of activity for messages sent and received in your Kno2 Connected™ app. Each entry shows the date, time, and current status of a message as it moves through the system.

A typical outbound message will progress through Sent and then Delivered. Additional statuses such as Forwarded, Replied, and Processed will appear as they occur. If a message fails to deliver as a Direct message or fax, a Failed status will appear here as well.

To filter the view, select a message event type from the left panel. All is selected by default and shows every event type across your organization.

Note: Users only see message events based on the permissions assigned by their Kno2 Connected™ administrator.

Failed Messages

The Failed Messages tab displays messages that failed or bounced during a send attempt. Failed messages also appear in the Message Events tab, so you can find them from either location.

Accessing Failed Messages

  1. Select the Notifications icon in the upper right-hand corner.

  2. Select the Failed Messages tab.

  3. Use the filter options on the left — All, New, or Acknowledged — to narrow the list.

  4. Click on a message to be taken to the message preview in Release.

Reviewing and Acknowledging Messages

Messages can fail for a variety of reasons, such as an incorrect or undeliverable address. See Troubleshooting Failed Messages for common causes and next steps.

All failed messages should be reviewed, addressed, and marked as acknowledged:

  • Check the box to the left of the message subject to acknowledge it individually.

  • Select Dismiss All to acknowledge every message at once.

Once acknowledged, the message's status changes from Failed or Bounced to Acknowledged.

Important: Acknowledging a message marks it as reviewed — it does not retry or resend it. The original message stays in a Failed state. To resend the content, use Forward to send it as a new, separate transaction with its own delivery status.

Digest Notification Emails

Unacknowledged failed messages continue to appear in the daily Failed Messages Digest email until they're acknowledged or dismissed. If you're getting repeated digest notifications, check the Failed Messages tab and clear any outstanding items. If you do not need to be alerted to failed messages, you can unsubscribe from Email Notification Options.
