Forward a Message to Resend It

Using Forward to retry a failed message

Written by Stacy Lane

You can forward a previously released message by selecting the drop-down menu to the left of the message status on the Released Grid and clicking Forward. Forwarding a message allows you to send the content of the message to a fax number or Direct address of your choice. Forwarding creates a new, separate transaction — the original message remains in its current state.

You can forward a failed fax or Direct message to resend its content without uploading attachments or re-entering patient details. Note that forwarding creates a new transaction with its own delivery status — the original message remains in its Failed state.
