The initial release of FHIR QBDE enabled organizations to configure a FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) responder for FIND using the TREATMENT Purpose of Use (POU). While most organizations only respond to this POU, other Purpose of Uses are available for our partners to respond to.
The FHIR QBDE configuration has been updated to allow for configuration of the other available POUs, as well as provide a way to uniquely configure the ClientID and Secret per POU. This allows partners to provide different credentials for different POU use cases attached to the responder. It also allows for the same credentials to be used.
To enable FHIR QBDE
Log into Kno2 at https://app.kno2fy.com and access the customer tenant you wish to configure using the toggle in the upper right corner.
Each physical office has its own tenant.
Select Settings (gear icon) > API:
Select the '+' next to Integrations and choose FHIR QBDE.
Complete the respective fields and choose Add:
Configuring the Responder
Enter the appropriate information for the Integration URL, Authentication type and Token URL after selecting the FHIR QBDE Integration Type.
Select the Purpose of Use to configure and enter the Client ID and Secret as appropriate for that Purpose of Use.
The same Client ID and Secret can be used for each Purpose of Use or unique ones per POU can be configured, depending on how the Responder was designed.
Repeat for each Purpose of Use to be configured. Notify support@kno2.com that you are ready for us to publish the directory entry.
