Aprima is the primary resource for assistance with configuration and training on the Aprima/Kno2 integration. Please contact your Aprima representative or reseller if you have questions about integration configuration.
Prerequisites:
Aprima version is upgraded to PRM 2015 Patch 2 GA
Generic ‘Kno2 User’ Active Directory account has been created. This Active Directory account should have a password compliant with internal security policies, and access should be limited to the minimum necessary to access Aprima PRM. NOTE: Kno2 User will be used in the below API Configuration – 4.b. and 4.c.
Integration Setup in Kno2
Client Key & Secret
Select Settings (gear icon)
Select Organization
Scroll down to API Settings
Select the Create Client Credentials button
A confirmation window will appear
Select the Create Client Credentials for <the current Kno2 instance> button to continue
Store your key and secret in a secure location
Select Copy Credentials to copy to the clipboard
Paste and store these in a secure location for later entry into your EMR
Select the Disabled button so that Enabled will be displayed, indicating that the service account is now enabled
Enter the IP address(es) provided by your EMR (these are the public IP addresses of the server contacting Kno2) – Aprima support can assist in obtaining the public IP address, if needed
Select Save IP Addresses
License and Application ID for Access to API
Select Settings (gear icon)
Select Add-Ons
Select the Licenses tab
Select the Enter Additional License button
Paste the previously provided license key into the text box
Select the Add License(s) button
Select the Applications tab
Highlight and copy the App ID
Paste and store this in a secure location for later entry into your EMR
API Configuration
Select Settings (gear icon)
Select API
Select the “+” sign to add an integration
Integration Type = Aprima
Complete the fields –
Username: <this is the generic Kno2 User Active Directory username>
Password: <this is the generic Kno2 User Active Directory password>
ClientId: <Aprima Client ID, obtained within PRM under Aprima – Help – About window>
Select Add
Intake Download
Select Settings (gear icon)
Select Intake Download
Make the following selections:
Select the radio button Save or Print
Download Options: Standard Download
File Location Options: Patient Folder / Enable Visit Directory
Directory: c:\kno2\
Non-Patient Directory: Check the box and enter c:\kno2NonPatient\
File Format: Keep Original
Select Save Changes
Integration Setup in Aprima
In PRM:
Choose List Editor > System > Fax Server
Search for all inactive
Modify Kno2
Mark as Active
Enter:
Kno2 URL = https://api.kno2fy.com
User Name = Kno2 Key
Password = Kno2 Secret
Notes = Kno2 AppID
Select OK
