How to configure Kno2 to automatically delete .xsl files

Some Direct message senders include a style sheet, or .xsl file, along with the clinical documents in a clinical message. The purpose of an .xsl file is to tell the recipient how to display the clinical document. Many recipient systems, like Kno2 or an EMR, do not require an .xsl file, as the system displays clinical documents natively.

Additionally, some EMRs may not be able to consume .xsl files. This can result in errors when downloading clinical messages that contain .xsl files.

To help mitigate this issue, you may now elect to automatically delete .xsl attachments from a clinical message upon receipt, leaving only the clinical documents.

A Kno2 administrator can enable this option for their organization via the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings.

  2. Click on Organization.

  3. Scroll down and check the box for Delete .xsl attachments upon receipt.

  4. Save Changes.

Any clinical messages received that contain .xsl attachments will now have those .xsl attachments automatically deleted upon receipt.
