Kno2 Connected™ apps require identity verification to protect patient health information and ensure secure access to medical records. We've partnered with CLEAR to provide a fast, secure identity verification process that takes just a few minutes to complete.

CLEAR is a trusted leader in identity verification, certified by the Department of Homeland Security and used across various industries for over 15 years. Your personal information is protected and only shared with your explicit consent.

What you'll need:

  • A valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID)

  • A mobile device with a camera

  • Your mobile phone number

The initial verification takes just a few minutes, and future verifications will take only seconds.


How to Complete Identity Verification

First-Time Verification

Follow these steps to verify your identity with CLEAR:

  1. Start the verification process

    • You'll receive a link to begin identity verification when accessing your Kno2 Connected™ app

    • Click the link to open the CLEAR verification portal in your browser (no app download required)

  2. Enter your phone number

    • Provide the mobile phone number associated with your device

    • Make sure you're in an area with good cell service or WiFi

    • You'll receive a text message to verify your number

  3. Take a selfie

    • Allow camera access when prompted in your device settings

    • Position yourself in an area with good lighting

    • Remove eyeglasses, hats, and any items that might obstruct your face

    • Tuck away loose hair

    • Find a solid background

    • The system will guide you through capturing your selfie

  4. Upload your government-issued ID

    • Take a clear photo of your ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID)

    • Make sure you're in an area with good lighting

    • Avoid glares on the ID

    • Place your ID against a dark background for best results

    • Clean your camera lens if needed

  5. Complete verification

    • CLEAR will verify your information in real-time

    • Once complete, you'll have secure access to your Kno2 Connected™ app

    • Your verified identity can be reused wherever CLEAR is accepted

If You Already Have CLEAR+ Membership

If you're already a CLEAR+ member (the airport security service), your verification is even simpler:

  1. Enter your phone number

  2. Take a quick selfie

  3. That's it - you're verified!

You won't need to upload your ID again since CLEAR already has your information on file.

Who is eligible to use CLEAR?
All users with a valid government-issued photo ID and mobile phone number.

Do I need to download the CLEAR app?
No, verification is completed within a secure browser. There's no app to download.

How long does verification take?
Initial verification is done in real-time and takes only a few minutes. Subsequent verifications will take a matter of seconds.

What personal information will CLEAR collect and share?
CLEAR shares only the information necessary to complete verification with Kno2, and always with your consent. You'll see exactly what's being shared before you proceed. CLEAR performs certain checks on the information you provide to verify your identity and may share information about these checks with Kno2. This may include checks to confirm that you are you and that the information you provide is accurate.

Should I use my personal or work email to enroll?
Using your personal phone number and email address when you enroll with CLEAR allows for the most seamless verification experience across CLEAR's ecosystem of partners.

About CLEAR

What is the difference between CLEAR1 and CLEAR+ at airports?
CLEAR1 extends CLEAR's identity platform beyond the airport, allowing businesses like Kno2 to offer their customers the same seamless and trusted experiences.

Verifying your identity for your Kno2 Connected™ app is completely free and does not require a CLEAR+ membership.

Once verified with CLEAR, your identity can be reused at any location where CLEAR is accepted, not just with Kno2. However, please note that certain services, like access to CLEAR lanes at airports, still require a CLEAR+ membership and are not included in this verification process.

Does CLEAR require fingerprints or iris scans?
No, CLEAR uses facial authentication to verify your identity with Kno2. If it's your first time using CLEAR, you'll snap a selfie and upload a government-issued ID. CLEAR will use your selfie and government-issued ID to create a reusable identity so it can recognize you whenever you're verifying with CLEAR.

The only place that CLEAR uses fingerprint or iris verification is in the airport.

Isn't the picture the same as an iris scan?
No. The CLEAR verification process used outside of the airport is based on facial authentication. Facial authentication can be completed with a simple selfie taken on your phone.

Privacy and Security

How can I learn more about what CLEAR and Kno2 will do with my data?
Any data you provide to CLEAR will be covered by CLEAR's Privacy Policy. Any data that Kno2 receives from CLEAR will be covered by Kno2's Privacy Policy. You can visit CLEAR's Privacy Policy and Kno2's Privacy Policy to learn more.

Does that mean other companies have my information?
No. Once you're verified with CLEAR, your personal information is securely stored by CLEAR and is not shared with other companies unless you explicitly authorize it. CLEAR is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your information remains safe and secure.

Using CLEAR Elsewhere

How else can I use CLEAR?
Other businesses use CLEAR to verify identity when interacting with customers. For example, LinkedIn uses CLEAR to verify identities so your connections know you really are you.

Does this mean I can skip the line at airport security?
No, CLEAR identity proofing is not the same as CLEAR+, which allows you to move faster through airport security in designated CLEAR lanes.

If I already have CLEAR+, do I need to verify with CLEAR?
Yes, but your experience will be as simple as snapping a selfie! As an existing CLEAR+ Member, all you need to do is enter your phone number and snap a selfie to complete the facial verification.

If you're experiencing issues during verification, try these solutions:

I didn't receive a text to verify my phone number

  • Ensure you're in an area with appropriate cell service and/or WiFi

  • Provide the cell phone number associated with your device

  • Check that you haven't blocked messages from unknown numbers

My camera won't open to capture my selfie

  • Make sure to allow Camera access within your device settings

  • Try restarting the experience

  • Try restarting your phone

I'm having trouble capturing my selfie

  • Make sure you're in an area with good lighting

  • Remove any eyeglasses or hats

  • Tuck any loose hair away

  • Make sure there is nothing obstructing your full face

  • Find a solid background for your selfie

  • Clean your camera lens

I'm having trouble capturing my government-issued ID

  • Make sure you're in an area with good lighting

  • Ensure there are no glares on your ID

  • Place your ID against a dark background when capturing

My verification is stuck or won't complete
